Seckford Hall is delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Kyle as the new Head Chef of the hotel

Ian joins Seckford Hall with a wealth of experience in both local hotels
and London restaurants.

Ian qualified locally at Braintree College studying catering
and hospitality with his first appointment at the Bridge Hotel in Huntingdon,
under the direction of Martin Lee. Here he learnt his craft, cooking fresh produce from scratch and could not have wished for such a fantastic training position.

After a successful two years, Ian moved to the Ickworth Hotel in
Suffolk where he spent a further two years before joining the Angel Hotel
in Bury St Edmunds. His ambition and skill then led him to London where he worked for Mark Hicks, Celebrity Chef at Hicks in Soho.
Here Ian learnt a great deal about the management and running of a restaurant. Most recently Ian was Head Chef at Southwold Pier for the
Gough Group, where he was brought in to match the quality of the food
to the other hotels in the group.

Ian joins Seckford as a time of further development and at an
exciting time for the hotel. He plans to create exceptional seasonal menus
inspired by local produce, with the menu changing to take in
what is exceptional at the time.

Ian commented:
"I'm really excited about my move to Seckford Hall Hotel and being involved in the re-development of the restaurant. I'm currently working on designing a new menu concept centered on my passion for local, seasonal and ethical produce. I firmly believe that if you love food it will love you back. I've built my career on loving what I do. Coming to work every day is not a chore, it's fulfilling my passion for food. Good, tasty, wholesome and fresh food is therefore what I aim to deliver.”
